GW's Statistics program was ranked 41st in the nation in the latest U.S. News & World Report list of top advanced-degree programs.
Join us May 8-10, 2025, to celebrate the department's 90th anniversary and mark nearly a century of significant contributions to statistical education and research. The conference, “The Past, Present and Future of Statistics in the Era of AI” will highlight the demand and enthusiasm within the academic and professional community for high-quality gatherings focused on contemporary statistical challenges and opportunities.
Two short courses are being offered on May 8 during our 90th anniversary event.
The department hosts a seminar featuring a guest speaker every other week on current research topics. Seminars are usually held between 2-3pm on Fridays, unless otherwise noted. Upcoming events will be listed on this page when scheduled.
