Join us May 8-10, 2025, to celebrate the department's 90th anniversary and mark nearly a century of significant contributions to statistical education and research. The conference, “The Past, Present and Future of Statistics in the Era of AI” will highlight the demand and enthusiasm within the academic and professional community for high-quality gatherings focused on contemporary statistical challenges and opportunities.
Two short courses are being offered on May 8 during our 90th anniversary event.
The department hosts a seminar featuring a guest speaker every other week on current research topics. Seminars are usually held between 2-3pm on Fridays, unless otherwise noted. Upcoming events will be listed on this page when scheduled.
Sent exclusively to alumni, the Department of Statistics newsletter features alumni and department updates, as well as event information. If you are one of our alumni, update your contact information with the GW Office of Alumni Relations to start receiving this and other exclusive alumni benefits.
