Minor in Statistics

2 students writing down notes in a statistic classroom

A Minor in Statistics can be an excellent complement to a degree in another field, from security policy to marketing to computer programming. The minor program requires 18 hours of core and elective courses, including introductory classes in statistics and programming as well as a Statistical Computing Packages class.

"The Statistics Department offers great courses that complement business degrees, [including] accounting, information systems, marketing and finance. In my job search, I've gotten the impression that prospective employers are impressed by a statistics minor, and that sets me apart from other candidates."
